I have major issues with people that are intolerant, particularly those against gay marriage.
It was funny, because my youth group went to this other youth group meeting a few years ago.
We're United Christians, we interpret the Scripture differently than most other churches. One of the things we interpret differently is our stance on gay marriage, which many United Church's are tolerant of.
When we went to this youth group, it was Pentecostal, which is read it the exact opposite of us. We were all the "David's" trying to take down the "Goliath's" that are gay marriage, homosexuals, etc., etc.
The youth leader said, "And we're luck to have a youth group such as the United Church Youth Group with us to help us in the fight against sin."
There was this really long pause as she waited for my youth pastor to say something, and he eventually just went, "We're the only church in town that will perform a gay marriage. We're leaving now."

i always do a "what will happen twenty years down the road if i choose ____?"
hence, my decision of being an intensivist over something in the show business industry.
i figure there'll always be people that get shot or overdose or have failing organs, but an actress/singer/whatever will eventually run out of fame.

So. My older sister is going for brain surgery in approximately 9 hours and 4 minutes. And I'm freaking out a little bit. A lot. I just don't know what's going to happen and it's scaring the fuck out of me. I wish I could be there, in the O.R. when it happens, but that's just not going to happen.
I get to see her when she's admitted to the ICU, though, and that's a bonus. I plan on being an intensivist ( a doctor that specializes in patients in need of intensive care ) so I hope this will give me a chance to see what it'll be like.
Sorry I'm being such a downer on my f-list, but now you know one of my two goals in life and the current goings-on.

BECAUSE I SAW THE MOTHERFUCKING TWINS!
as in, the twins i based Jon and Matt Ronson off.
And amazingly ( and Jamie can confirm this ) I DIDN'T PASS OUT!
( hurrah for irrelevant lj cuts! )
